I first became interested in dogs a few years ago and thought I might like a 'Staffie' (Staffordshire Bull Terrier). After researching the breed I realised these lovely dogs weren't for me. I was then introduced to my Aunt's dogs (Pauline Horner - Honclo) and that was it, I was 'hooked' and at the time I did not really envisage owning more than one dog - how wrong can you be? My interest in the breed just went on and on.
I would just like to thank Pauline for all her help and advice.
We purchased our first Bulldog in March 1999 which was Bella. I had her as a pet really and just became interested in the breed. Two years later in February 2001 I went on to have another Bulldog whose name was Mylo (Esclusham Beach Boy). Mylo sadly is no longer with us, but we remember him with great love and affection. He was a 'character' and we miss him. My affix is in memory of dear Mylo (Mylobull)
It was then I developed my interest in the showring and went on to campaign Pauline's dogs (Honclo). St Levens Masked Marvle at Honclo, and also Streetwalker Lady Marmalade of Honclo (Pauline's Norwegian Import).
I then went on to have several wins with my own dogs, Marlil Malachite at Mylobull and of course, Rohene Rick O'Shea at Mylobull.
I have recently become a committee member of the Birmingham Midland Counties Bulldog Club.
